  This is a family-run establishment, with a very welcoming feel. Naan comes out hot and fast when you go for the lunch buffet (daily, even Sunday brunch). I'm not usually a big fan of vegetarian dishes, but they have a veggie curry that is amazingly complex, a bit sweet, not very spicy. Butter chicken is pretty good, nothing mindblowing, but well proportioned between meat and gravy.
  Take a chance on this little spot on the Island Highway - you might just have a new favourite.

  Service was good and the food was on time . Was really disappointed with the butter chicken sauce it tasted like raw tomato paste and sugar the sauce was very undercooked. Rest of the order was good .

  Went there excited to support a family run restaurant, and were sorely disappointed. The calamari with chutney was a let down all around. It was incredibly salty, the mango chutney was unidentifiable. When we brought up the chutney to the owner/server, she asked where we had seen chutney before, then said that this is Indian chutney. I have had the pleasure of eating Indian food in multiple different countries, and have never seen such a sad, watery substance like this being passed as mango chutney. As we waited for our food we heard the sickening sound of "Chef Mike" ringing from the kitchen... yes Mike... as in microwave. We should have left then. We were then given the main course, a chicken korma, the nann was coated in a thick layer of grease, and in the curry was 7 tiny nibs of chicken. When we complained to the owner, she said each portion of chicken is hand counted, and there should be 8-10. We were tired of debating the disappointment of the food and asked to leave. Despite being comped the main, we still walked away paying 27.00. Will not be back.

  We stopped in for lunch buffet and were pleased with the selection. I'd have liked a thicker sauce on the butter chicken, but perhaps this is a regional recipe that's more authentic then the thick sauced versions.

  The service is friendly and quick. The food was so full of flavor, and the presentation was wonderful. New favorite place to eat. Best I've had so far in Victoria.
