  We end up here by default because of its location. Service seems to always be slow, tough to get the bill when you want to leave. Last night's mussels had seen better days and I specifically asked if they were good and if they were fresh. Tiny, tough and stringy. Translation, old. I should know having been a seafood distributor for twenty years Didn't want to make a fuss, being part of a large group but next time will ask if the everyone doesn't mind ​going to another pub.

  love the place. Patio in the summer is unbeatable. The atmosphere inside is perfect year round! Beer and food is always on point and as local as it gets.

  The setting (right on the water) is nice. The food is good. I was last there for a staff function, so I got a sampler of options. As someone who tries to avoid gluten, I found they could produce a lot that of dishes that I could have. Given that pub food is usually some variety of deep-fried something, it was welcome to see.

  Our server was awesome and they accommodated us very well. Have a good variety or indoor, outdoor, private and social seating options. I would recommend Canoe for a group event. Also the drinks are a fair price, especially the Scotch and other spirits.

  Had the best beet salad and followed it up with the beet flavoured salmon. The salmon was more candied than described but nonetheless amazing. Great cocktails too
