  All-you-can-eat sushi was ok. I know some other places that serve bigger and better nigiri for that. The staff here are nice and friendly, so 3 starts for them!

  Went with three friends on a very rare day out together. We had called twice in the mid afternoon (With no answer), and checked the website for more info on the All You Can Eat, which had none.
  
  One of us does not like Sushi (due to the nori), which he explained to the waitress, and asked if he could eat from the regular menu. She informed us that we could only have All You Can Eat if everyone at the table is, with no exceptions. She told him he would have to sit at another table in the restaurant. I cannot begin to describe what an awkward situation this created, as we had been looking forward to it all day and as a group of friends do not want to have one person sitting at a separate table far away from us. So we simply got up and left.
  
  I've never been this compelled to write a one star review for a restaurant because I know it is a very difficult business, but this passive-aggressive attitude towards customers is deplorable.
  
  To top it off, the waitress did not even attempt to be friendly when greeting and seating us.
  
  I will definitely not return. Tip to Shima owners - at least act like you want our business, or stop offering All You Can Eat. Pick one!!

  All you can eat option had less variety than expected for a regular AYCE customer. Quality of a la carte was superb. Interior design had a gloomy atmosphere for lunch setting, but may be more suited for dinner/late night.

  Came here last year for a trip with my son and we felt like having all-you-can-eat sushi dinner. The lady owner kept trying to stop us from ordering more than a portion for each items by saying portions are big already (this never happened to any restaurants we went before ANYWHERE!) And after meal was done my son left behind some hard sushi rice as it was unchewable. Guess what? She charged us $7 for that!!!! Never i mean NEVER in our history eating out we were ever treated like this. Would never return!!!!
