  I really like their food. I got into Malayasian food from going to Banana Leaf in Vancouver. Tropical Island has a mix of Malaysian, Thai, Indonesian food. Their spring rolls are fantastic. I really recommend the Assam fish and the ribs. If you like Asian food, you'll love this place.

  I love the food at Tropical Island. The deep fried tofu appetizer is an amazing starter. The tropical mushrooms, vegetable egg noodles and Tropical beef are my favorites. Fusion Asian food which has unique tastes. A hidden gem near UVic on Shelbourne. Thanks!!

  This is one of my favourite neighbourhood restaurants. There is something comforting about this place, especially at lunch time.
  
  A nice variety of dishes.
  The best I've had so far are the garlic tofu, the tropical fish and of course, the green curry.

  Delicious food in a nice, laid-back atmosphere. All the dishes we tried had something special in them that elevated their flavour profile. The green chicken curry was light and citrusy, the tropical beef is tender, and the mushroom platter is like nothing we've tried before. The server was super busy but a total pro -- the table behind us customised every dish they ordered and she didn't bat an eye. We will definitely return!

  Staff is friendly and efficient, food comes out fast and is very tasty. If your craving some rich South Asian flavors, this is definitely the place to visit in Victoria.
